Sky, Indigo Winged

A fanfic character for the Maximum Ride series. ^-^ I wanted to enter the writing contest, but I didn't have my computer yet then and I think I missed the deadline! Oh well, next time!

6/5/2015 Seriously rebooting after reading the final novel in the series, Maximum Ride Forever, due to events in the story and other developments and such I didn't know about as they weren't published yet!


Scenario:
Sky is the seventh original child created by the School, along with Max and the others, but the intuition and ancient kunoichi skill possessed by her mother saved her from the same childhood as the rest. Going into hiding directly following her birth, Sky and her mother lived peacefully but were always on the run until she was 9. Agents seeking her and her modified genes tracked them down, and Sky's mother was killed in Sky's escape.
Over the next few years, Sky was captured by a cult believing she was their fallen angel, then escaped and was taken in by a rich (somewhat senile), elderly man who believed her to be his lost granddaughter. Though given everything, Sky didn't like living in a guilded cage, and suspected that the men working for her "Grandfather" were up to something else... something much worse.
Leaving all that behind, Sky sets out to find their plans. Spurred on by a Call-to-Arms from one of her own, Sky infiltrates a secret facillity and obtains their plans. It is then, shortly before her 15th birthday, that she finally meets the others she was destined to be grouped with.

Sky has black hair, indigo eyes, and indigo wings. She is 1/4 Japanese, and is fluent in both languages.

Strengths: Singing (anytime, anywhere, she can find a song to match!); leadership (she and Max sometimes butt heads despite Sky clearly accepting her as leader); miscellanious trivia; foreign languages (probably due to her sound abilities) cooking (Something she and Iggy bonded over early on)
Weaknesses: Unresolved issues surrounding her mother's death (anger at those responsible, regret at not being able to help, etc); anything mathematical; loneliness; her fear of being trapped as a "diety" again; anything chocolate or extremely cute
